Sodexo Live! is currently hiring On-Call Bartenders for the ORDA Lake Placid Conference Center in Lake Placid, NY. The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) was originally created by the State of New York to manage the facilities used during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid. Today, ORDA operates multiple venues including the Olympic Center, Olympic Jumping Complex, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Whiteface Mountain, Gore Mountain and Belleayre Mountain.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Greet each guest who enters the bar area; taking beverage orders directly from guests and/or servers
• Participate and foster positive team relations with fellow bartenders, barbacks and bar management
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, offerings, menus and promotions
• Provide outstanding service to all guests of the venue.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Age 21 or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• TIPS or TEAM trained or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and familiarity with standard drink recipes
• Ability to work independently and in a high stress, fast paced environment
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility in an often tightly quartered environment.
• Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Other Requirements:

• Stand and exert mobility in tight spaces

• Able to bend and lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
