Sodexo Live! is currently hiring On-Call Catering Servers for the ORDA Lake Placid Conference Center in Lake Placid, NY. The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) was originally created by the State of New York to manage the facilities used during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid. Today, ORDA operates multiple venues including the Olympic Center, Olympic Jumping Complex, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Whiteface Mountain, Gore Mountain and Belleayre Mountain.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CATERING SERVER

As a Catering Server, you work with your team to provide great meals and a memorable experience for our guests. Whether setting up serving areas, serving food from steam tables, cleaning equipment, preparing food, or helping customers, you enjoy the work and being part of an efficient team. You keep our kitchen running smoothly and make sure all serving areas are always stocked and tidy.

With an eye for detail, you follow recipes carefully to ensure high-quality meals from our kitchen. You comply with service standards as well as safety and sanitation rules and regulations. But one of the best aspects of your job is the chance you have to interact with our customers. You're always happy to help and you are committed to ensuring their satisfaction. You feel great about helping our guests have a great dining experience!

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic food-handling skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs.
• Willingness to comply with dress code requirements

Other Requirements:

• Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
