Schedule: The position will be 3-4 days per week, from 8:30 am-12:30 pm beginning at the end of May through mid-October.
Job Title:
A private family seeks a responsible and flexible individual to perform dog care duties and related maintenance tasks in Millbrook, NY. This position is part-time about 3-4 days a week. The ideal candidate would be someone who loves animals and is comfortable working with 3 large dogs. Previous animal care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:

• Daily walks/exercise
• Coordination of animal care with Owners and veterinarian instructions
• Administer medicine and treatments
• Driving pets to vet appointments, therapy appointments
• Replenish water
• Follow specific feeding schedule
• Properly dispose of waste products
• Provide companionship
• All aspects of grooming (daily brushing, bathing, drying)
• Daily maintenance, cleaning, and stocking of grooming area
• Keeps track of pet supply inventory and report to House Manager

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience
• High level of comfort walking and caring for 3 large dogs
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
• Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
• Excellent references from current and previous employers
• Hands-on with a good attitude, high energy, strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Flexibility in schedule with availability on weekends as needed
• Valid US work authorization
• Valid Driver’s license
