Reporting to our Programs Director and being a part of our charitable acts group, our Food Pantry Coordinator is an important part of our organization as they are directly involved in our primary mission of reaching out to those in need. He/she works with volunteers in the food pantry and interacts with those who reach out for help – the food pantry coordinator is a true steward of our mission.

JOB DUTIES:

• Monitors and maintains inventory in the pantry, refrigerator, and freezers, tracking via an Excel based record keeping system.
• Orders, coordinates, and accepts delivery of food from various sources.
• Managing food rescue opportunities and pick up of food donations.
• Stocks and organizes shelves.
• Manages incoming donations and keeps record of donations.
• Assists with planning and implementation of holiday food programs.
• Responsible for implementing food pantry policies and procedures.
• Determines eligibility of clients and facilitates tracking of service via Salesforce.
• Is present and takes the lead during food pantry distribution hours.
• Attends any Free Store Food Bank trainings and informative sessions as directed by Programs Director
• Maintains required food safety Training Hours
• Ensures pantry meets all NKY Department of Health and Free Store Food Bank standards.
• Establishes volunteer needs for pantry and works with volunteer coordinator to find volunteers to assist.
• Trains volunteers for food pantry
• Other duties as assigned.

• Able to maintain a positive attitude and perform while handling multiple tasks at the same time.
• Able to develop and communicate program procedures and changes.
• Able to continue to strengthen efficient and reliable processes to ensure the food program is managed and operates with the highest integrity and efficiency possible.
• Comfortable sharing ideas to more effectively serve those in need and to operate the pantry.
• Comfortable with technology.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Able to learn Client Management System.
• Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Valid drivers’ license.
• Able to understand and fully comply with all company safety directives and operating policies and procedures.
