Position Summary: 

As Program Manager, Graduate Medical Affairs, you will lead project development and implementation support to the Member Services Division and Education & Training Division, a primary focus on management of the Association of Program Directors in Interventional Radiology (APDIR) and its committee projects. Additionally you will manage projects related to Resident, Fellow and Student section (RFS) activities, and development of medical student, resident and fellow programs and benefits. This position also collaborates with the education department to integrate trainee educational activities into the SIR’s overall educational strategy.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

· Serve as primary liaison for the APDIR and work with members to manage all committee projects. 

· Management and accountability for APDIR’s annual membership renewals, ongoing membership recruitment and internal reporting. 

· Manage the planning and implementation of the APDIR Business Meeting and APDIR Annual Education Meeting. 

· Serve as main point of contact for all IR program directors and coordinators, RFS and Medical Student Councils, and fellow, resident and medical student members.

· Coordinate needed activities and communications for the implementation of the IR Residency

· Organize, maintain and create content for SIRweb.org related to this position.

· Plan, coordinate, and market all aspects of all Graduate Medical Affairs Division meetings and activities.

· Inform IR training programs of the APDIR compliance regulations of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), Residency Review Committee (RRC), and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and Maintain current knowledge of ACGME and RRC rules and regulations. 

· Maintain IR program data and relationship accuracy in Personify database. 

Secondary Functions and Responsibilities:

· Manage the Medical Student and Resident in Training Travel Scholarship program 

· Participate in the International Division staff team, supporting Graduate Medical Education activities related to affiliated meetings and educational and certification pilots

· Coordinate IR awareness, training, and education initiatives for current and prospective medical students, and residents, attendance may be requested at related meetings. 

· Create and distribute surveys as requested by APDIR and Education & Training Division leadership and maintains knowledge of data for future Graduate Medical Affairs projects 

· Assist with annual meeting team marketing 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Capacity to identify, implement, monitor, and execute work plans to all assigned activities: goals and objectives

· Requires high level of oral and written communication skills

· Requires the ability to work under pressure and carry out responsibilities with proficiency and finesse

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, track details, and ensure timely and accurate results

· Must be willing and able to travel to SIR Annual Scientific Meetings and other meetings and activities related to the position

· Ability to work outside regular scheduled office hours

Education:  

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience required

Experience: 

· At least one year of experience in working with associations, graduate medical education programs and governance.

· At least three years of experience managing projects

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, databases and web applications

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Small, fast paced open office environment with moderate noise levels. Use of phones and computers for extended periods of time. Utilize office equipment and communication technologies for conference calls and teleconference meetings/webinars. Requires general mobility to move through the facility. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequent interaction with internal staff and physician members/board via phone, in person, email and other mediums. Normal sitting and standing activities for an office environment. Some travel primarily for Annual Membership and other meeting.
