Technical Experts, UNICEF Third Party Monitoring Services, West and Central Africa

Proposal Objective:

Social Impact is putting together a proposal of a three-year base (with two option years) project to support UNICEF's West and Central African Republic's Office's in a range of third party monitoring (TPM) and monitoring activities to support UNICEF's programmatic and operational goals across 24 countries in West and Central Africa. Services include programmatic visits, activity monitoring, end-user monitoring, post distribution monitoring, and situation monitoring. To carry out these services, mixed-methods approaches, including incorporating ethical engagement with children and adolescents and remote access areas.

Position Description:

SI is seeking a pool of experienced Technical Experts for this third party monitoring services activity. The Experts will be responsible for provision of their respective subject area knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Health, WASH, Nutrition, Education, Child Protection, HIV/AIDs, and Supplies. The Experts should be able to provide research tools and methods according to local context as well as their technical area, for the TPM and monitoring activities.

These are short-term assignments expected to start October 2024, contingent upon award of the contract.

**Please note: Nationals from West and Central African countries are encouraged to apply and will be prioritized.**

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise in respective area to inform research and monitoring methods and tools.
• Provide grounding in local context.
• Participate in data collection and other monitoring activities.
• Inform monitoring reports and other deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in their area of expertise.
• Minimum 5-years' experience in similar roles within a humanitarian or development setting.
• Experience working with UNICEF in the relevant sector desirable.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Knowledge of and experience in research methods and tools development.
• Fluency in English and French languages desirable.
