Our client is a community bank serving local businesses and individuals across two sites with a team of 150 users. As a trusted financial institution, we prioritize exceptional service and reliability. We are seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring our technology systems run smoothly.
Position Overview
The Desktop Support Analyst will serve as the primary onsite support resource, responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications for our bank employees. This role will work closely with our managed service provider to deliver efficient and effective IT support services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support and issue resolution for desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and other IT-related devices.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade desktop systems, software, and peripherals following established procedures.
  • Collaborate with the bank's managed service provider to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions in Microsoft Office 365 environment.
  • Assist with VPN setup and troubleshooting for remote access.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and technical inquiries from end-users.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, software licenses, and configurations.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups.
  • Assist in user training and support for basic IT functions.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 1-3 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role, preferably in a corporate or banking environment.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10) and Office applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration, including user management and basic troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies and remote access support.
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented with a patient and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members and external vendors.
Education and Certifications
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar certifications are a plus.

This is a full-time position based at our primary bank location but will require support of our 2 local branches. The Desktop Support Analyst will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional IT services to our users.
