Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our pharmaceutical/biotech organization as the US Launch Readiness and Strategy Assoc. Director. You will play a critical role in leading and overseeing all aspects of product launches, ensuring successful market entry, and maximizing the potential of our innovative pharmaceutical products. Your expertise in launch strategy, project management, and cross-functional collaboration will be instrumental in driving launch excellence and delivering optimal results.

Driving launch readiness for our Immunology/ chronic gout asset will be your primary mission. In addition, you will be responsible for partnering with brand teams on solving key strategic questions and driving strategy projects in line with the company’s top commercial priorities for North America. You may also be able to drive other product launches.
This is a remote position - candidates located on US EAST COAST preferred.

Responsibilities:
1. Launch Strategy Development: Collaborate with the US commercial leaders and other key cross-functional stakeholders (incl. Global) to support development of launch strategies for new pharmaceutical/ biotech products. Ensure that the launch plans align with the company's overall business objectives and market dynamics.
2. Launch Readiness Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of launch readiness for products you support, identifying potential risks and opportunities. Develop mitigation plans to address any barriers and improve the overall launch readiness.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate communication and alignment among cross-functional teams involved in the launch process, including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Supply Chain. Foster a collaborative and cohesive approach to launch planning and execution.
4. Project Management: Lead the end-to-end launch planning and execution process, setting clear milestones, timelines, and deliverables. Monitor progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to ensure on-time completion of deliverables.
5. Launch Training and Education: Develop and deliver launch training programs to ensure that all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities during the launch process. Provide ongoing education to the commercial teams to enhance launch readiness.
6. Performance Metrics and Analysis: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for launch success and regularly track and analyze launch performance. Use data-driven insights to continually improve launch processes and outcomes.
7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact the launch success and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact.

8. Strategy projects: partner in evaluating and executing growth opportunities and key strategic projects for the North American organization

9. Assess new commercial opportunities for our current portfolio, including (financial) business case and market opportunity assessment, go to market design and other operational considerations
10. Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure all launch activities adhere to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PharmD, PhD) is desirable but not required.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches in the US pharmaceutical market, with a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to understand complex data and input from cross-functional stakeholders and develop coherent and actionable plans.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and drive cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve common goals
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical product development lifecycle, including regulatory processes, US market access, and commercialization strategies.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.

The base salary pay range for this role is $146,000-$200,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
