Job Description

Role & Function

As the Director of Data Architecture and Operations, you will be responsible for leading the Data Operations team, and partnering closely with commercial leadership across Sobi’s product portfolio. The role will report to the Head of Field and Data Operations, as part of the Customer Experience Insights & Operations (CxI&O) team for North America. The Customer Experience team is focused on ensuring we elevate the experience for our customers internally and externally through integration across sales and marketing. The Data Operations team is responsible for the tools and processes supporting the Commercial data architecture across all brands/therapeutic areas. The Director, Field Operations will independently manage projects, function as the accountable point of contact, and lead other team members in the execution of those capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze data management practices and identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and automation
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to assess data exchange processes and data integration workflows
  • Define requirements and standards for data management; data mastering; data security; data lifecycle management; data taxonomy, data movement, migration, and integration
  • Establish the governance and quality standards for the organization's data management, insight production, and ensure monitoring, measurement, and compliance across the commercial organization
  • Define and implement data governance operational processes (e.g., data quality measurement) per policies and standards, clearly articulating roles and responsibilities
  • Work with senior leaders, global technology teams, and business functions, to design solutions that sustainably drive data standardization, insights enablement, and a high-quality data architecture
  • Provide leadership, career development, coaching, and mentoring for the data operations team

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7- 10 years of Data Operations or similar experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience in data analysis, data management, or a similar role, within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical data sources, commercial data needs, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in data management and analysis tools and languages, such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
  • Strong consultative problem-solving ability: demonstrated ability to understand and translate data into actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Ability to think strategically to support key business decisions
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in team-based environment across key functions and all levels of management within Commercial, as well as other key functions including, but not limited to: Finance, HR, Compliance
  • Proven record of managing and nurturing teams
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize, and navigate the efficient path to results
  • Experience in rare disease or specialty-distributed products preferred
