Job Summary

We're looking for a skilled Production Associate to join the Tank team!


Molder:
Your main job is loading polyethyene resin and unloading completed parts from the rotational molding oven. While doing this, you will also be responsible for checking the schedule and the oven programs for accuracy, and ensuring the quality of the parts that you produce before transferring them to the Secondary department for trimming.


Assembly
: Your main job is routing, trimming, and assembling parts from the rotational molding oven. While doing this, you will also be responsible for using the correct components and ensuring the quality of the parts that you produce before transferring them to the Shipping department for delivery to the customer.


This job is for you if...

  • Able to lift up to and including 50 pounds
  • Stand on your feet at least 8 hours a day
  • Withstand a hot manufacturing environment


Key Responsibilities/Molder

  • You will assist with mold changes which includes learning and using an overhead crane and rigging.
  • You will be lifting up to and including 50 pounds of polyethene (plastic) resin in powder form to fill the molds prior to bolting it up and sending it through the heating and cooling process.
  • You must make sure that vent tubes are cleaned on every round and bad bolts are changed out along with the mold receivers if needed.
  • You will also be responsible for tracking your production according to the production schedule. You are the first step to quality as you will check random parts coming off each oven to ensure that scrap is caught quickly and not sent to Secondary. (Note – any parts send to Secondary that were bad due to molding will be brought back to the oven to be cut up by the operators’ that molded them.)


Key Responsibilities/Assembly

  • Understand the products and what parts of them need to be routed, trimmed, torched and assembled to ensure the quality standards are being met.
  • Understand the paperwork that is required for each product in the work area.
  • Communicate to the Supervisor if any problematic parts come to your area from the oven.
  • Check random parts coming off arm to ensure that scrap is caught quickly and not sent to Shipping.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Education - high school education preferred
  • Manufacturing experience - 1 year required - 3 years preferred
