Marine Electrician

Snow & Company is a small boat building and repair company in Seattle seeking a Marine Electrician to join our team. Exciting projects underway at Snow include high speed aluminum pilot boats, two multi-year contracts to build work boats for the US Navy and a hybrid research vessel.

Some of the job duties include electrical installation for new vessel construction, building of custom panels, installation of electric motors and controls, cable installation-cable pulling, installation of packing tubes, multiple cable transits, collars, conduit, and raceways. Some repair work may be required. Ability to read and interpret drawings desired. Capable of clear, effective communication with others on the production team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, DOE

Physical Requirements:

Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced shipyard with moderate to loud noise levels from production activity in the boatyard. The individual will be required to be in production areas in yard and onboard vessels. He/she must be able to walk to and from job sites. The person must be able to climb inclined stairways and vertical ladders; to enter confined areas and tanks; to work at heights. He/she may be required to work more than 8-hour shifts and weekends. The incumbent must be able to frequently bend, squat, crawl, twist and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

We build commercial vessels for the fishing industry, government agencies, tugboat operators, aquaculture companies and other marine businesses. Additionally, we perform overhauls and repairs to vessels. Located on the ship canal we have modern enclosed fabrication halls along with waterfront repair facilities.
