The Retirement Plan Assistant serves as a liaison between the Recordkeepers and Advisors in the Employee Benefits department of the Wealth Management division. Primary responsibilities include supporting all members of the department with routine account administration, independent tasks, and special projects. This position will also focus on client communications as well as assisting in the translation of conversations between Spanish and English speakers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Maintain a broad knowledge of investment products including insurance, equities and debt instruments, cash, and alternative investments.
  • Stay informed of new developments, policies and laws, keeping department and clients informed of changes with regulatory and ethical issues.
  • Process and complete the account distribution process.
  • Create and maintain online enrollment books and enrollment materials for clients.
  • Create and maintain financial statements for clients.
  • Participate in business development activities.
  • Backup to Advisors on phone calls and follow-up calls.
  • Assist with Annual Compliance reporting.

Required for this position: Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills. Excellent attention to detail, ability to identify missing items, advanced organizational skills, ability to work under deadlines, independent thinking, the ability to visualize cause and affect relationships of data and documents, analytical skills, clear and concise reporting, self-motivation, strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrated teamwork.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years professional office experience
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English and Spanish languages.
  • Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
  • Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion

HOURS:

Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
