Snap One is looking for someone who enjoys working with automation, networking, audio, visual, surveillance, power and other tech savy gear. The main responsibility for this role will be investigating product returns to determine root cause issues and working with internal and external engineering and quality departments to resolve and drive improvedments in product reliability. Data analysis tools will be used to identify trends and possible product issues. The work will be conducted in a fast-paced environment with a deadline-centric focus. The Hardware Engineer will be working in an independent environment and should be self-motivated while maintaining high levels of productivity.

The successful applicant will monitor failure level trends data for changes in quality levels for approximately 5,000 skus with a specific focus on our tier 1 skus. They will test and drive to root cause issues on returned product. They will prepare content to share with the quality, engineering and business owners for monthly and quarterly reviews.

Responsibilities

• Test products and identify root cause for product returns
• Effecticly communicate defect and root cause information to program management, engineering, customers/dealers, tech support and suppliers
• Work Closely with development teams to review and address product issues
• Work with manufacturing partners to address product issues
• Collect, review and analyze data to identify potential product issues
• Create and publish product status reports
• Statistical analysis and planning

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field
• 3-5 years of experience Hardware Engineer.
• Strong Statistical Skills
• Root Cause Analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical and Electrical aptitude.
• Understanding of Electrical Design
• Experience with Manufacture of consumer electronics
• Use of reliability and data analysis tools like Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or Answer Rocket
• Programming experience.
• Familiar with ERP systems such as SAP or SAGE
