The Fulfillment Manager will report to the Sr Director Fulfillment and be responsible for all daily operations within a fast-paced fulfillment center. Overall operations include receiving, quality activities, material transfer and storage tasks, packaging/light assembly work, rework activities and multiple shipping methodologies such as cross-docking, small parcel, freight, domestic and international. The Fulfillment Manager requires outstanding interpersonal, written and communication skills as this position will act as a primary contact for the assigned facility. Being a proactive self-starter who enjoys working in a high-energy and team-oriented environment with the ability to positively motivate and lead others are key attributes for this position

Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage all operational functions within the distribution center
  • Direct and manage staff; select, hire, train, coach, counsel, assure performance and morale
  • Translate business vision and strategy into operational tactics in order to build the organizational support and infrastructure needed to achieve them
  • Review and evaluate performance of assigned operation functions, address performance gaps, and take corrective action, as needed, to ensure each functional area are delivering on operating goals
  • Monitor and ensure departmental/facility performance metrics are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with dealers and distributors through outstanding shipping service
  • Review and evaluate performance of assigned operation functions, address performance gaps, and take corrective action, as needed, to ensure each functional area are delivering on operating goals
  • Assure compliance with all related (OSHA, DOT etc.) federal, state and local regulations; direct the implementation of internal company safety policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships among key internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain the facility budget in close partnership with key operational leaders
  • Preparation of all reports and records regarding warehouse operations

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 8 years’ experience within distribution, supply chain and logistics functions
  • 3 years’ management/supervisory experience
  • Proven process improvement experience related to warehousing and distribution
  • Advanced skillset with MS Excel
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Manhattan Scale or other WMS systems
  • Experience using SAP Business 1
