Snake River Manufacturing is Hiring a Financial Controller Near Boise, ID

Overview

SRM – Double L, LLC (“the Company”) a is looking to hire a financial controller. The position will be based out of our Burley, Idaho office.

The Company, along with its sister company SRM-Kodiak America, LLC, is an innovation leader within the snow & ice removal and agricultural equipment segments. The Company develops, manufactures and sells equipment ranging from potato planting and harvesting/storage to commercial snow blowers. SRM- Double L, LLC is innovating to make the world more productive in every category we represent.

To take advantage of our unique market opportunity, we need to have the right team members, particularly in the financial controller role. The ideal candidate will want to be a builder—of teams, systems, and processes.

What you will do

● Direct the monthly closing process for SRM-Double L, LLC and SRM- Kodiak America, LLC ensuring accuracy of financial information.

● Prepare the monthly financial statements, business activity reports, financial position of SRM – Double L, LLC and SRM – Kodiak America, LLC.

● Supervise employees recording accounting entries and inputting supplier invoices.

● Oversee the procure to pay process, collaborating with parts, procurement, manufacturing and suppliers.

● Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as capital asset

acquisitions, procure to pay process, bank reconciliations, payroll, journal entries, monthly close

process, etc.

● Build a diverse and highly productive accounting and finance team.

● Maintain the Company’s asset management tool, Asset Panda.

● Manage partner-facing tasks (e.g., payroll tax issues, sales tax issues, financial statement audits, ASC 842, etc.).

● Participate as a “business partner” with the CEO and CFO in long-term planning, budgeting, financial and operational analysis.

● Implement processes, procedures, systems, and financial controls that maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Company’s financial data and ensures compliance and consistency to GAAP.

● Further the use of analytical tools, analyses, and metrics essential to assessing over-all business performance and variances from Budget. Must introduce flash reports and “dashboard” metrics to drive meaningful information and decision making further up the organizational ladder.

Things that you must have

● Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent

● 5 plus years of proven finance management experience, including accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing company

● 3 years audit experience

● FP&A experience- strong analytical skills

Things that would be helpful for you to know/do

● Managerial/cost accounting- job order costing, direct materials, direct labor, indirect manufacturing costs, variances, WIP inventory, raw materials, finished good inventory, applied overhead.

● Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements, specifically revenue recognition (ASC 606), business combination (ASC 805), inventories (ASC 330) and leases (ASC 842).

● Tax experience with Limited Liability Corporations and partnerships.

● Experience with computer knowledge with ERPs like Quickbooks and Visual (INFOR).

● Strong knowledge/capabilities of Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Google Sheets.

● Strong leadership and interpersonal/communication skills.
