About the role:
As our Enterprise Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data landscape. You will be a change agent responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade data solutions that leverage the power of SQL Server, Azure Cloud, and Snowflake. You will be a trusted advisor to stakeholders, collaborating closely with business leaders, developers, and IT teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and drives informed decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement enterprise data architectures that meet business needs and comply with data governance standards.
Plan and Lead the migration of on-premises data to Azure Cloud, including SQL Server databases and data warehouses.
Design and implement data lakes and data warehouses using Azure and Snowflake, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation.
Define data models, schemas, and security protocols to ensure data integrity and access control.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
Monitor and optimize data platform performance, identify and troubleshoot data quality issues.
Analyze, propose, evaluate and influence implementation of Data Governance tools, AI solutions, ML models for predictive analytics and statistical analysis tools.
Leverage automation tools, research & enrich data models with external data sources, design and build integrations (real time streaming and batch).
Stay up-to-date on the latest data technologies and trends, and recommend innovative solutions to improve data management.
Qualifications:
10 years of experience in data architecture and design.
Proven expertise in SQL Server, including database administration, T-SQL scripting, and data modeling.
Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms, preferably Azure SQL, ADLS, Synapse Analytics and Snowflake.
Experience with building data lake, data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and data governance, understanding and application of ML algorithms.
Excellent communication, facilitation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Bonus points:
Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Power BI, Python, Azure ML
Familiarity with data security and compliance regulations (PCI, BSA, GDPR, etc.).
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Experience in Banking, Financial Services or Insurance.
