The Finishing / Machine Operator will be part of a collaborative Finishing team that ensures only the best products are made, and that we are producing labels which show our level of pride and care. Every day we bring our customers’ labels and packaging to life, creating a customer experience that is second to none, and enabling them to stand out over the competition. Key Responsibilities for Finishing / Machine Operator include:

• Performing manual and machine operator tasks as related to a variety of finishing operations
• Rewinding labels and inspecting for printing defects; requiring close attention to detail
• Boxing completed orders produced in finishing in preparation for shipping
• Preparing appropriate quality sign-off documentation for assigned tasks
• Performing required preventive maintenance on assigned finishing equipment
• Working closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvements of finishing operations

The ideal candidate must demonstrate:

• Ability to make fact-based decisions and troubleshoot print and press problems to keep projects running smoothly and efficiently
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies (hardware and software)
• Effective time management skills to meet deadlines on multiple long- and short-term projects
• Clear communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with a diverse group of people and personalities
• Ability to provide high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquires of internal customers

Education, Skills, and Experience:

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Required: Ability to lift up to 50lbs, as well as stand and bend throughout the shift
• Required: Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
• Preferred: One or more years’ experience in a similar role in roll fed printing
• A Plus: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems
