Smurfit Kappa North America is Hiring an Inventory Supervisor Near North Richland Hills, TX

A successful inventory supervisor is a reliable professional with excellent record-keeping abilities. The goal is to ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives.

  • Identifies and researches inventory discrepancies and corrects errors through the system in real time.
  • To establish and execute cycle count schedule in compliance with the corporate accounting objectives and plant objectives
  • To coordinate and oversee the daily cycle counts of the various inventory assets across all warehouse, WIP, and Roll Stock location
  • Assists and collaborates with Purchasing, Accounts Payable Customer Service and Billing Departments with inventory related issues
  • Resolves inventory issues and makes corrections in a timely manner
  • Ensures remote plants report accurate counts at month-end
  • Studies receipts, sales order shipments, and postings to ensure seamless and accurate flow of product
  • Consistently provides timely and accurate inventory information and counts to the Supply Chain Team and Accounting Team
  • Timely reconciliation of inventory discrepancies at month and quarter end
  • Participates in random cycle counts, physical audits, and preform full physical counts if needed
  • To maintain the cycle count records so that it can be reviewed by the management and provide the reports related to cycle count activity
  • Visit the work area frequently to ensure compliance, and discusses safety issues with team. Explains to team that safety excellence is expected and is a requirement of employment. Encourages the team to report incidents, near-misses and unsafe conditions. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.
  • Gate Keeper of Waste reporting and work with plant to reduce waste and implementation of processes to control waste.
  • Starch consumption champion, help plant reduce starch consumption and implementation of a solid process to sustain.
  • Responsible for the monthly Top 10 reporting, gather the KPI's from other departments and report into Top 10 each month.
  • May be assigned to other projects and duties
Requirements:

Job Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years' experience with Inventory Control
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous inventory related experience
  • Assertive and self-motivated
  • Skill in accurate data entry
  • Demonstrated skill working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Proficient skill and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Applications, Outlook Email
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment, effectively balancing multiple concurrent assignments
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
