Marina Forklift Operator and Maintenance

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated individual to join our team as a Marina Forklift Operator, and dock hand.

The Marina Forklift Operator hauls, and launches boats for our storage customers. Provide quality customer service. Performs light maintenance of machinery and facilities as necessary. Keeps the grounds and dock areas clean at all times.

Responsibilities Include:

· Operating marina equipment in a safe and efficient way.

· Assist customers while docking to assure safety as they come and go from the dock.

· Launch, haul, and move boats as necessary to support boat rack storage operation.

· Coordinating with Dockhands, fuel dock attendants and launch operators to ensure safe, efficient hauling, launching, and dock management.

· Check equipment daily for proper fluid levels and general operation including hydraulic lines and fittings, forks, and straps condition. Report any maintenance/repair issues to management.

Qualifications:

· Prior experience operating Heavy Equipment preferred.

· Valid Michigan Drivers License

· Prior Boating Experience a plus.

· Knowledge of general boat handling, hauling, blocking, launching, mooring, and docking practices applicable to the operation and use of marina facilities.

· A handyman able to make repairs and perform maintenance on equipment and facility.

· Have good communication skills with both staff and customers.

· Demonstrate good attention to detail and safety.

· Available to work weekends in season a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
