Overview: Stevedore Vessel Operators/* This position requires working within the ships*

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Stevedore Vessel operator to join our team. As a Stevedore Vessel Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations with inside the ships, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment. If you have mechanical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and experience in a warehouse environment, we encourage you to apply.

Location: Detroit

Pay: $19.00

Duties:

Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Oversee inventory management and conduct regular stock checks
Coordinate with other departments to meet customer demands and deadlines
Train and mentor warehouse staff on proper procedures and equipment operation
Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy of orders
Operate heavy equipment, such as cranes and clamp trucks, to load and unload materials
Conduct order picking and packing as needed

Skills:

Strong mechanical knowledge to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
Proficient in inventory management software
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment
Knowledge of distribution center operations
