The Maintenance Technician plays an integral role in providing support and service for our PropFixr properties. The Maintenance Technician conducts preventive and reactive maintenance activities on properties within our portfolio. This position is based 100% of the time in the field, driving from property to property throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Respond, as directed, promptly and professionally to work order requests both during business hours and after hours
• Ensure work is performed in a timely and professional manner
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and homeowners
• Assist with scheduling, overseeing, and communicating with contractors to obtain bids and checking work for completeness
• Purchase maintenance supplies as needed for the property
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, pool equipment, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, and safety
• Respond, as needed, to emergency work orders that can’t be addressed in a timely manner by third-party contractors
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Moderate climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, hearing, smelling, and use of fingers
• Ability to lift and/or move in excess of 50 pounds
• Ability to use standard maintenance equipment
• Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy conditions (temperatures may vary depending on the weather in the different regions)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance or related trade is required
• Must have basic experience in all standard trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance, HVAC, carpentry)
• Current driver’s license and automobile insurance
• Other licenses and/or certifications as required by state law
• Must operate a vehicle in good condition and be subject to inspection
• Must provide own standard tools as required to perform maintenance repair
• Bilingual Spanish a plus

Other Relevant Qualifications

• May require one or more of the following certifications: EPA Certification, Type I and II; CPO certification (pool)
