Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the dietary department, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents in an assisted living facility
- Conduct patient assessments to determine specific dietary needs and restrictions
- Provide health coaching and education to residents on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits
- Create individualized care plans for residents with specific dietary requirements or conditions
- Supervise and train dietary staff, ensuring they follow proper food handling and safety protocols
- Manage inventory and ordering of food supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of dietary programs and make necessary adjustments
Requirements:
-CERTIFIED DIETARY MANAGER IS A MUST
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a dietary department, preferably in an assisted living setting
- Knowledge of patient assessment methods and ability to develop appropriate care plans based on individual needs
- Familiarity with tube feeding protocols and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with residents, staff, and families
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team of dietary staff members
- Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance within the department
