Position Summary

JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN ITA COURT EVALUATOR!

Your Work MattersHow will you make a difference? 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the ITA Court Evaluator at Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating ITA (Involuntary Treatment Act) and PIT (Parent Initiated Treatment) patients with Snohomish County DCR court liaison, providers, and therapists. The Evaluator will track and manage all necessary documentation and must be knowledgeable about ITA and PIT patient rights laws. If you are passionate about patient advocacy and have excellent organizational skills, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.

  • Reports all new admissions to the Snohomish County Involuntary Treatment Office.
  • Maintains a tracking and reporting process for discharge notifications.
  • Works closely with the DCR court liaison, providing information and medication notices.
  • Maintains a tracking system for all ITA patient updates provided by the court DCR regarding the outcome of hearings and evaluations.
  • Keeps current on all ITA and patient right laws.
  • Coordinates with Community Providers to ensure all legal documents are in place for a patient’s discharge.
  • Maintains a tracking and reporting system for sending a patient out to another Hospital.
  • Provides education and training during NEO about ITA law and procedures at SPBH.
  • Maintains a tracking system for PIT patients. Also reports PIT admissions, discharges, and documentation for reviews.
  • Assigns and tracks completion of all WAC required MHP visits for ITA patients.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

  • Education & Licensure: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical-related mental health field. Must possess a Washington state license in Social Work or clinical mental health field. 
  • Experience: At least two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and strong clinical assessment skills.
  • Additional Skill Requirements: CPR certification and crisis intervention/management training within 30 days of employment before assisting in a restraining procedure. May be required to work flexible hours.

Compensation: 

This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range is $75,000.00 - $102,000.00 annually. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our ITA Court Evaluator!
