SMMA is Hiring a Marketing Coordinator Near Cambridge, MA

SMMA is looking for the right individual with 2-3 years of marketing experience to come grow with our firm! We are looking to hire a creative Marketing professional to join a talented team of storytellers, designers, writers, and thinkers. Those interested in design, human experiences, and the built environment—while looking for a great opportunity to grow intellectually and creatively—should consider applying. The successful candidate will help convert new business for the firm. Essential for this role is the ability to produce and support proposal opportunities and client presentations. There will also be growth opportunities in digital marketing, content creation, and social media.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop client-focused messaging and engagement strategies facilitating the creation of compelling firm qualifications, proposals, and presentation materials in support of SMMA’s business initiatives. 
  • Assist or sometimes lead the facilitation, coordination, and participation of kickoff meetings and proposal production activities.
  • Create, format, and maintain standard marketing materials (resumes/bios, project sheets, project lists, narratives, image library, and other standard graphics). 
  • Assist in market sector business development and client maintenance support.
  • Provide support on larger-scale pursuits and firm initiatives.
  • Contribute to and participate in a variety of activities when needed to support various internal and external communications including content creation, website updates, campaigns, and social media.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, and/or Public Relations is strongly preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience, ideally in an A/E/C Marketing or Communications role, or similar Marketing experience preferred. 
  • Experience developing qualifications and proposal submissions. 
  • Sufficient use and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign a must) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment while responding to changing priorities. 
  • Good writing voice and passion for storytelling including copy editing and proofreading skills.
