The Refrigeration Roundsman will inspect and monitor the Utilities Systems Components and identification of potential abnormal
conditions which would be reported to the Refrigeration Technicians / Mechanic and / or Supervisor for further corrective action.
Core Responsibilities
Understand the basic refrigeration and steam process and process flows.
Understand system control set points and safe operating parameters.
Understands plant operating temperature requirements for general area as well as process critical systems and steps to alert technicians / supervisor for correction ( Quick Chill, Hog Carcass Coolers, Pet Food Chilling Systems).
Understand normal system conditions, operating phases, and steps to alert technician / mechanic and or supervisor that corrections are needed.
Understands the basic functions of equipment and overall safety systems (e. engine room ammonia detection, ventilation, e-stop, high liquid level, high pressure cut outs, SRV’s, fire protection - alarms).
Follow safe program and work practices.
Maintain open and professional line of communication with maintenance and operations.
Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required.
Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently are also required for this position.

This is a full time hourly position; all applicants should be willing to work all shifts (days / evenings / nights), extended hours and weekends.
