Your Opportunity

The Finance/Accounting team is seeking out driven, detail-oriented professionals to exercise GAAP principles while preserving the superior financial standing of our $15B company. These personnel examine data for accurate pricing in Customer Finance, reconcile/manage invoices as an Accounting Coordinator, or scrutinize the company’s state/federal income tax data in Corporate Tax. 

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for the accounts receivable process. A solid understanding of how the accounts receivable process impacts financial statements is needed.

Core Responsibilities

  • Posts cash to client accounts.
  • Processes credit/debit memos as necessary.
  • Contacts clients and/or sales personnel when necessary to follow-up on past due balances.
  • Processes inter-company sales and directs shipments.
  • Maintains files of daily cash receipts.
  • Responds to customer service and sales personnel inquiries.
  • Maintains Month-end binders.
  • Performs various month-end reconciliations.
  • Produces various month-end schedules/reports.
  • Assists Accounting Manager as backup to A/P Clerk.
  • Assists in other various projects as needed.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.
  • 2 years of experience in an Accounting, Accounts Receivable and/or Administrative/Clerical role, preferred.
  • Prior experience in a corporate Accounts Receivable department, prefered.
  • Experience using SAP and Esker, a plus.
  • Exceptional computer skills required (Microsoft Office including Excel & Word).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to plan, organizes, prioritize, and achieve effective time management.

  • The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision includes close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to sit, use hands to handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
