Graphic Artist/Customer Support-Integrity Printing

Integrity Printing is looking for an enthusiastic graphic designer to join our team. We are a printing company that is looking for the right, motivated and enthusiastic person. Integrity printing will help you develop your design skills along with learning about all other areas of our business.

You must be able to come to our office in Clare.

 Summary /Objective
Uses computer software to design and create visual concepts which are used as coupons and advertisements on the backside of register receipts; provides customer support throughout the conceptualization and design process.

Essential Functions

• Plan and concept work by studying information and materials and collaborating with clients.
• Advise clients on strategies to reach a particular audience and design strategy.
• Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Prepare finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment.
• Ensure operation of print equipment by following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Assist with the preparation of pre-press materials and resources; ensure proper procedures are followed during pre-press process.
• Respond to rapidly incoming telephone, fax and electronic communications while maintaining a service oriented and helpful demeanor to clients, vendors, customers, co-workers.
• Expedite the prompt resolution of employee, vendor and customer problems, questions, concerns, and discrepancies.Notifies the appropriate personnel of situations that are beyond the scope of the Graphic Artist responsibility level.
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting, bending, and twisting is required. This would require the ability to lift items, bend or stand as necessary, up to 25 pounds. Some work duties are performed in the manufacturing environment, with exposure to chemicals and materials related to printer press operation.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Days and hours of work are typically between Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires a minimum amount of travel, mainly between businesses in a local setting.

Required Education and Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field-Equivalent work experience may substitute for educational requirements
• Two years’ experience in graphic design position
• Overall computer literacy, including Microsoft Office products
• Demonstrated experience with InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field
• Experience in manufacturing or Point of Sale industry
