As a Supervisor, you will be a client liaison with a team of accountants and controllers serving accounting, consulting, business analysis, and financial reporting needs. Your clients span a broad range of industries and have complex needs that include support for SEC financial reporting, accounting for foreign currency, financial modeling and estimates, financial statement consolidation, and performing analytical procedures to drive client recommendations.

Essential Functions

Communicate to clients and staff using language appropriate to their knowledge and understanding to assist them with making decisions, asking the right questions, coaching through accounting procedures, and delivering on requests.

Assign work to team members for the timely completion of deliverables while working closely with managers for guidance and career advancement.

Review the work of team members and coach them for learning and development.

Analyze and evaluate information from observation, research, communication, or experience to identify variances in financial reporting, develop meaningful conclusions, and solve client accounting problems.

Collaborate with team members, peers, and managers to fuel experimentation and be recognized for innovation.

Gain an understanding of our client’s business environment, accounting procedures, and internal processes while identifying improvement opportunities to increase accuracy in their financial reporting and to save time.

Prepare financial statements under multiple bases of accounting, including U.S. GAAP for the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and other supporting schedules.

Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and willingness to learn and keep up with industry changes.

Comfortable using and learning software applications as required by the firm or client to assist with coaching the firm or client staff when necessary.

Utilize or create tools to maintain an organized workspace, whether physical or virtual, to manage due dates, client relationships, work papers, and complex projects.

Knowledge of financial ratios, analytical techniques, and the relationship between accounts to create and maintain ad hoc reporting, modeling, and performance metrics.

Adhere to the professional ethics of the firm, the AICPA, and the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Adhere to firm policy regarding client confidentiality.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or another relevant degree program

CPA license highly preferred

Four to seven years of accounting experience, including 3 years of public accounting
