Job Summary:

We are seeking a Concrete Laborer to join our team in Richmond, VA. As a Concrete Laborer, you will be responsible for supporting the team in all aspects of the concrete project. Over time, you will begin applying finishing touches to concrete surfaces, ensuring they are smooth, level, and visually appealing. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various tools and materials.

Responsibilities:

- Demolish, lift, and deposit concrete and wood structures to be removed

- Dig, remove, and spread gravel, dirt, topsoil, and mulch.

- Keep our work environment clean and orderly, allowing the Concrete Finishers to focus on the most skilled tasks.

As you gain understanding of our industry:

- Prepare concrete surfaces for finishing by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing them

- Set up forms and ensure they are properly aligned and secured

- Pour concrete into forms and spread it evenly using tools such as rakes and shovels

- Use hand tools and power tools to shape and finish concrete surfaces

- Apply finishing techniques such as troweling, edging, and stamping to create desired textures and patterns

- Follow blueprints, schematics, or instructions to ensure accurate placement of concrete

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
