We are an academic acute care medical center with a Health System comprised of 10 member hospitals and more than 200 outpatient ambulatory care sites that provide coordinated, comprehensive care to patients and their families across the Bronx, Westchester and the Hudson Valley.

We are looking to hire a CDI/Quality Performance Revenue Cycle Data Specialist to provide internal consulting services to both the CDI and Quality departments providing development and implementation solutions to maximum cash flow and revenue returns.

Position: CDI/Quality Performance Revenue Cycle Data Specialist

Location: Tarrytown, NY (HYBRID)

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities:

• Leads and manages process design and/or redesign initiatives by employing various methodologies such as system/operations analysis, forecasting demands, constraint analysis, queuing theory, process modeling and simulation, and other methodologies as appropriate
• Application of project management methods and supporting technologies to support complex revenue cycle related projects, including the development of project plans, financial projections, project budgets, resource plans, risk mitigation strategies and communication plans
• Works collaboratively with other revenue cycle leaders and associates to define business requirements for new/updated processes and/or reporting solutions. Liaison between CDI, Quality and Information Technology
• Conducts data mining and analysis to identify improvement opportunities and supports efficient processing of digital information
• Develops and maintains dashboards and KPI reports for monitoring of revenue cycle performance
• Solves operational inefficiencies by identifying improvement opportunities and partnering with revenue cycle stakeholders

Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree preference is in Healthcare Business Management, or Operations Research and must have a Master's Degree preference is in System's Engineering with a focus on Management Engineering. Lean Six Sigma preferred
• A minimum of 5 years related Hospital experience working with internal departments for new or existing work processes, reporting, data analysis, and performance
• Experience with Electronic Health Records, Medical Coding, and billing software systems with a basic understanding of PSI 90, mortality reviews, and readmission data
• Ability to manage and analyze large data sets and development of data visualization for analysis and presentation
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Visio, and Project
• Epic Certification preferred in either Hospital Billing, Revenue Integrity, and/or Clarity Data Model

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
