Job Description:

At Smiley’s Gas Station, we are looking for a friendly, customer-oriented individual to join our team as a deli manager. The deli manager will oversee the daily operations of the deli department, ensuring a smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory levels, and ensures the deli offers a diverse and appealing selection of products. This position requires balancing customer service with operational efficiency, aiming to provide a pleasant experience while optimizing the deli’s financial performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Oversee the daily operations of the deli department, including scheduling staff shifts, ensuring food safety compliance, and maintaining cleanliness standards.

· Manage inventory by ordering deli supplies, conducting regular stock checks, and minimizing waste through efficient product rotation.

· Implement all marketing strategies to increase deli sales.

· Train new deli employees on proper food handling techniques, customer service standards, and operational procedures.

· Address and resolve customer complaints regarding deli products or services in a timely professional manner.

· Monitor and maintain deli equipment.

· Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requires Skills & Qualifications:

· Must be 21 years of age.

· Reliable transportation.

· High School Diploma or equivalent education.

· Able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time, along with bending.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.

· At least 1 year of management experience.

· Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Must be aware of food safety compliance.

· Experience with deli equipment operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
