```Duties```
As a Periodontist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating gum diseases and other conditions that affect the supporting structures of the teeth. Your expertise in periodontics will play a crucial role in helping patients maintain optimal oral health. Your duties will include:

- Conducting thorough examinations and assessments of patients' oral health, focusing on the gums and supporting structures
- Developing personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Performing surgical procedures such as gum grafting, crown lengthening, and dental implant placement
- Administering local anesthesia and sedation to ensure patient comfort during procedures
- Providing post-operative care instructions and monitoring patients' progress during the healing process
- Collaborating with other dental professionals, such as general dentists and orthodontists, to coordinate comprehensive treatment for patients

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

- Proficiency in medical documentation software such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft for accurate record-keeping
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Strong patient assessment skills to identify periodontal conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating surgical guides and models
- Thorough understanding of infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
- Ability to work with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, providing compassionate care tailored to their specific needs
- Familiarity with dental office operations and ability to work collaboratively with other dental professionals
