As a Periodontist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating gum diseases and other conditions that affect the supporting structures of the teeth. Your expertise in periodontics will play a crucial role in helping patients maintain optimal oral health. Your duties will include:
- Conducting thorough examinations and assessments of patients' oral health, focusing on the gums and supporting structures
- Developing personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Performing surgical procedures such as gum grafting, crown lengthening, and dental implant placement
- Administering local anesthesia and sedation to ensure patient comfort during procedures
- Providing post-operative care instructions and monitoring patients' progress during the healing process
- Collaborating with other dental professionals, such as general dentists and orthodontists, to coordinate comprehensive treatment for patients
