Job Description: We are seeking an Accountant to join our finance team as a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern for our growing FP&A function. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, and detail oriented. This role will require strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with various departments across the organization.

Reports to: Lea Ramey (will work closely with Lewis Chang)

Summary/Objective:

General Responsibilities:

• Create variance analysis reports and financial models.

• Provide data/reports which allow senior leadership to make decisions that contribute to the implementation of the organization’s strategic goals.
• Use financial planning and analysis software (Adaptive by Workday).
• Format, manipulate, and analyze data in large data sets. 
• Provide analytical support to enable decision-making.
• Assist in monitoring of budget to actual programmatic, fundraising, and operational performance.
• Participate in meetings related to reporting and analytics.

Travel: None – aside from ST in office

Required education and experience:

• Major = Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Additional eligibility qualifications:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated attitude. 
• Able to work independently, handle multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
