Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. Duties:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Take dental x-rays
- Conduct patient assessments, including oral health screenings and medical history reviews
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral health recommendations
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including practicing aseptic techniques and sterilizing instruments
- Monitor vital signs of patients during procedures
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow

Qualifications:
- Valid MD state dental hygiene license
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Proficiency in using dental software for documentation
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and techniques
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
- Excellence in taking quality xrays and FMX
