This is a hands-on position. Duties include performing appliance repair, basic plumbing, electrical work, sheet rock repairs, interior painting, basic carpentry work and exterior property maintenance. Must have the ability to follow established guidelines, as well as troubleshoot and problem solve with direct supervision. Must demonstrate exceptional customer service attitude and sense of urgency in all projects.

Must be reliable, friendly and able to work both in a group and alone. Must be able to communicate effectively and be organized. Must be able to follow directions and adhere to company polices and be a team player.

Normal work hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm . On call emergency rotation one week of every six is required of all maintenance employees, after hours time is paid at a double time.

Must provide own hand tools and have dependable work vehicle to move between properties as assigned - transportation for job supplies will be required - a truck or van is preferable.

Prior experience in multi-family apartment maintenance is preferable. However, we are willing to train someone with at least a fundamental understanding of basic handyman and household repairs and a desire to learn and work hard.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
