SMHG Management LLC is Hiring a Diesel Mechanic: FULL TIME Near Eden, UT

Description

The role of our Diesel Mechanic is to provide safe and efficient preventive and emergency maintenance on all vehicles in the Powder Mountain Fleet. Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems. Knowledge of snow grooming equipment, loaders, graders, track hoe, all-terrain boom lift, snowmobiles, motorcycles as well as pickup trucks.

Position: Year Round, Full Time

Requirements

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Keep all work areas clean and organized to assure safety
  • Must be able to operate all types of heavy and light duty equipment; snow grooming, loaders, track how, all-terrain boom lift, snowmobiles, motorcycles, and pick up trucks
  • Practice established protocols to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Must be comfortable working both independently and a part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize according to departmental goals
  • Document repairs, labor, and materials accurately on work orders
  • Actively involved in lift emergency procedures and time-dependent repairs
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Extensive mechanical, electrical and hydraulic maintenance skills, knowledge, and successful experience
  • Familiarity with state and federal environmental standards and OSHA regulations
  • Organizational skills, computer knowledge: Mountain Office and Microsoft 365
  • Overall understanding of Powder Mountain's policies and procedures
  • Must have a positive attitude and work well in a team-oriented company
  • Minimum of three (3) years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic experience on heavy equipment
  • Compliant to Powder Mountains Policy's and Procedures
  • Diagnostic & troubleshooting skills preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Gas and Diesel engines
  • Must have large and small engine experience
  • Valid drivers license

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:

  • Full range of body movements
  • Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (100 lbs)
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
  • Vision requirements – close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
  • Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
  • Climb/descend stairs/ladders
  • Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
  • Safely handle hazardous materials

Working Environment

Work is performed inside and outside; will be exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice), high altitudes (9,000ft ), noise, and moving machines/equipment. An indoor environment; exposure to noise, dust, mechanical and electrical hazards, and cleaning chemicals. Occasionally exposed to outdoor climate in which team member will be exposed to a variety of temperatures/weather.
