💥 Sheet Metal Production Programmer/Operator 💥

SmartHire is hiring a Sheet Metal Production Programmer/Operator for a Manufacturing company in Auburn. Candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience utilizing/programming various sheet metal machines and processes. This is a union position so if selected one will need to join the union before starting.

Salary

$33.57/hr.

Shift

Monday – Friday – 6am-2:30pm overtime as needed

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Skilled Sheet Metal Programmer/Operator’s primary role is to support our manufacturing operation for a well-established supplier of food service equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Program, setup and operate a variety of sheet metal fabrication equipment including but not limited to: NC Brakes, Lasers, and Punch Presses

· Work directly from engineering drawings/DXF files to produce one off production parts and occasional prototype parts

· Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

· Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.

· Lift up to 35 lbs.

· Must be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per day.

· Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

· Ability to derive innovative and creative solutions to resolve complex problems

· Continuous improvement mindset and approach

· HS diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

· Experience utilizing AND programming various sheet metal machines and processes

· Ability to perform physical work.

· Knowledge on basic computer skills required to log job transactions and inventory transactions using ERP system.

· Must be a team player and be able to work on multiple projects as assigned.

· Forklift training or willingness to train required.
