Job Overview:

As a Roofing Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to learn and develop essential skills in the roofing industry under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will work as part of a team to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of roofing projects while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Assist with the installation and removal of various roofing systems, such as asphalt shingles, tiles, metal, and synthetic roofing systems.
• Prepare Worksite: Assist in setting up and securing work areas, including ladder placement, safety barriers, and equipment organization.
• Material Handling: Assist in loading and unloading roofing materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and storage areas.
• Roof Repairs: Aid in identifying and repairing damaged areas of roofs, including replacing shingles, patching leaks, and sealing seams.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
• Cleanup and Maintenance: Assist in cleaning up debris, removing old roofing materials, and maintaining cleanliness at the worksite.
• Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and care of roofing tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
• Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, new roofing materials, techniques, and technologies through training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in construction or a related field is beneficial but not required.
• Physical stamina and ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects and materials (up to 75 pounds), and withstand exposure to various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools used in roofing.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
• Ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team, and communicate clearly with coworkers.
• Commitment to safety practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
• Ability to travel to different locations for roofing projects within the designated area.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
