Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Floater/Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience in the field of education.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and curriculum development
- Support students in their learning journey, providing guidance and assistance as needed
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create engaging and interactive classroom activities
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special education needs or those on the autism spectrum
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Help students with math concepts and problem-solving skills
- Supervise children during daycare activities and ensure their well-being
- Provide care and support to toddlers, including feeding, diaper changing, and engaging in age-appropriate activities
Experience:
- Previous experience working with students or children is preferred
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation is a plus
- Experience working with children with special education needs or autism is highly desirable
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies is beneficial
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
