Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical, telephone, and mechanical knowledge, along with proficiency in computer networking and low voltage systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic systems
- Perform fusion splicing and terminate fiber optic connectors
- Test and troubleshoot fiber optic networks using OTDRs and power meters
- Install and configure Cisco routers for network connectivity
- Handle cabling tasks for fiber optic installations
- Utilize hand tools for fiber optic equipment assembly
- Provide field service support for telecommunication infrastructure
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in electrical, telephone, and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of computer networking principles
- Experience with low voltage systems
- Familiarity with Cisco routers for network setups
- Ability to work with cabling for fiber optic installations
- Proficient in using hand tools for equipment assembly
- Prior experience in field service for telecommunication projects
