We are a small family-owned business who's main operation is in San Francisco. Smart Demolition and Excavation, Inc. has a transfer station for construction and demolition inert debris, we also take demolition jobs, and have a trucking and debris box service.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, from invoicing to payment and reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
• - Prepare and send invoices to customers- Assist in month-end closing activities- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions- Perform data entry tasks using accounting software- Assist with audits and tax preparation- Generate financial reports as needed
• Respond to customer billing inquiries, resend bills, and send collection emails (or calls)
• Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
• -Work alongside our office manager, bookkeeper, and accountant
• -Other tasks upon request

Qualifications:

- Experience as an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role is a must.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of journal entries and general accounting principles
- Experience with data entry (preferred)
- Familiarity with tax procedures and regulations (preferred)
- Previous experience in public accounting is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
