This position is for a support role in a toddler classroom rounding out a team of 3. An assistant teacher works as part of a larger team and this role's day includes: play, supervision, nap time, outside time, stories, wiping down tables, sweeping, dishes and more play. This is a good job for someone wanting to begin work with kids and provides opportunities for growth. This position is with toddlers age 2.5 - 3 years old. This is a full time role M-F, 40 hours a week!
Licensing requires a background check, we will send you the link right when you apply. Current pediatric CPR/first aid or the ability to acquire within 30 days is required as well as current Food Handlers certification for OR. There are State created trainings about childcare that are required upon employment and are free.
Must have experience with preschoolers in a group setting, minimum one year classroom, center, or in-home daycare experience. The position is a predictable schedule and includes paid holiday closures, a two week paid winter break, a paid spring break closure. As a result there are 30 scheduled days off in addition to sick time. Staff are also provided a monthly health stipend.
