We are seeking a childcare floater for our SALEM & WEST BRANCH locations.

We take training seriously. Our staff do not have to have experience working in a childcare center. They are caregivers at heart and are trained on our licensing rules and routines by our administrators and Lead Teachers.

1 hour lesson planning time for lead teachers (weekly) and down time to plan and organize during a 2 hour nap time (daily)

Job Requirements:

_ We train all employees on the job. This job requires a high school diploma, background check and physical to be completed and turned in upon hire._

The ideal candidate will have personality traits that include a positive attitude, highly motivated, self-starter who has a passion to educate and impact the lives of young children.

You will need to get a background check done once you are hired (We schedule the appointment for you!)

You will need to create an OCCRRA account and will need take online trainings through OCCRRA before you start to learn about the Ohio childcare licensing rules and about child abuse

You will need to have your doctor sign a physical form showing that you are fit to work with young children. We bend, lift, and are down on the floor with young children all day! We are also around a TON of germs, although we sanitize and clean, so a healthy immune system is important.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a , clutter free, and organized classroom, bathroom, and eating areas. May also be assigned to complete the opening/closing checklist: sanitize toys and cots, wash dishes, put away dishes, clean kitchen and clean out refrigerator, clean toilets and sinks, fill bleach bottles, sweep and mop floors, etc.
• Provides a positive and controlled environment in which the students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
• Communicates effectively with students, peers, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis and in a positive manner
• Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, peers, parents, and the community
• Assist in planning and implementing instructional activities.
• Attends all required training and meetings and community events.
• Adhere to all center policies and procedures including the classroom management and confidentiality policies.
• Meet the needs of the children throughout the day: clean faces, give bathroom breaks and diaper changes regularly, change clothes if dirty, and update parents on Brightwheel when children are in need of supplies or with important daily information.
• Adhere to and follow all state childcare licensing requirements
• Provide child care for children who are between the ages of infants, toddlers, preschool and school ages.
• Prepare, serve, and clean up meals for children
• Take out the trash, clean and sanitize toys and classrooms, give breaks
• Work as a team with other staff members and/or teachers

Interview process:

Candidates are interviewed through a 2 part process. You will speak with the Center Support Specialist over the phone for about 10-15 minutes (scheduled through indeed or by email) about your passion and experience working with young children. You will then meet our administrator in person at the second in person interview at one of our sites.
