Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists in supervising and maintaining the electronic monitoring and work release, and assists in securing employment for the inmates.
  • Installs the electronic monitoring anklets on all inmates assigned to paid employment and/or center work assignment.
  • Tracks the need for equipment replacement ? reports stolen, missing, or severely damaged equipment to the Bureau of Classification Management, including equipment serial number, type of equipment, and location of the equipment if known.
  • Notifies the monitoring center or update the database of each inmate's electronic monitoring connection, disconnection, or change in work schedule.
  • Reviews the location data (tracking points) of all inmates on electronic monitoring, and refresh points as needed to confirm compliance with all rules, zones, and curfews by comparing the tracking points daily with the inmates approved daily schedule.
  • Develops, inputs, and updates schedules that incorporate adequate time allowances for the inmate's travel to and from approved scheduled activities away from Reality House.
  • Completes progress notes on all inmates.
  • Conducts periodic work site and home checks on inmates participating in work release and electronic monitoring.
  • Recognizes violations immediately in the supervision process.
  • Responds to alerts.
  • Analyses data locations points to identify specific patterns of movement and frequently visited locations which may warrant further investigation.
  • Teaches inmates how the equipment works.
  • Maintains equipment, inventory and product replacement.
  • Responds immediately when issues arise concerning the person served.
  • Maintains files for person served and accurately documents all services rendered.
  • Completes all required reports on schedule.
  • Participates, when required, in case conferences, weekly Supported Employment meeting and training programs.
  • Performs miscellaneous job duties as required.

Minimum Education and/or Experience: Minimum of a high school diploma/GED and two (2) years experience working with computers. Training and experience with electronic monitoring systems preferred. Experience in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Criminal Justice setting preferred.
