Summary :
  • The primary purpose is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of Healthcare Staffing Services in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the CEO, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Education :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Administrative Functions:
  • Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the company's objectives and goals, as well as its programs and activities, and to ensure that they are accomplished in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day activities of the healthcare staffing department.
  • Develop, maintain, and periodically update the Nursing Manual as well as the objectives.
  • Assist in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies.
  • Develop, maintain, and periodically update written job descriptions for each level of nursing personnel.
  • Maintain a reference library of written nursing materials that will assist nursing personnel.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the department.
  • Participate in audits, surveys, or inspections made by authorized government agencies and client facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that employees provide the highest quality of care in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, TJC, federal, state and local requirements.
  • Develop and maintain budgets for the appropriate use of human and material resources.
  • Ensure that qualified and competent employees are assigned to the respective Medical Center.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve quality of service and care.
  • Develop process to screen, interview, hire, train and maintain the competency of employees.
  • Develop, implement and monitor agency's policies and procedures that supports the goals and business objectives of the agency and ensure they are met.
  • Ensure that all employees have current license and certification as required.
  • Ensure that employees comply with the workplace conduct and employment practices per policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all employees practice the Principles of Confidentiality.
  • Ensure that employees are consistently given annual competency and informed of the latest regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and resolve employees' safety and risk management issues.
  • Participate in the internal/external environment for effective planning, staffing, program development and procedural changes to facilitate coordination of services.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, orientation and evaluation of all nursing employees.
  • Negotiate for services provided by contract in respective Medical Center in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Report all activities of the nursing pool to the CEO/COO.
  • Ensure thorough investigation of the grievant issues and initiate corrective action up to termination as needed.
  • Ensure staff education in meeting TJC Patient Safety Goals.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
