Slovacek's RTE Food Service employees are very important to the success of our store and must be energetic, friendly and ready to pitch in wherever they are needed. Bar-B-Que products include meats and side orders. The individual filling this position will be required to prepare meats and seasonings for preparation of BBQ products for our customers. Cooking these products will also be their responsibility. Additional responsibilities include pit room organization and cleaning.

Qualifications of Bar-B-Que service include:

• Extended walking or standing for 8-10 continuous hours on hard floors.
• Preparation of assigned menu items including prep work.
• Food preparation, merchandising and replenishing product which includes frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting product or material.
• Pit Room organization and cleaning.
• Prepare meats as well as cooking meats.
• Continuous communication with management and fellow workers.
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment with extreme changes to customer flow.
• Strong ability to multitask and manage time.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must follow all safe handling and health department procedures.
• Ability to work longer than 8 hours if necessary.
• Perform a variety of duties as needed.
• Must obtain food service certification.
• Unloading supplies when necessary.
• BBQ experience is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

40 hour workweek including overtime

Weekend availability is a must

Salary: $16.00 /hour (negotiable with experience/qualifications)
