We are seeking a detail-oriented and quick-learning project manager to join our small but rapidly growing team. The Project Manager’s primary responsibility will be to oversee all project needs, from assigning tasks to completion. You will help the team organize, track and execute work within a project in a projected roadmap timeline. You will be working cross functionally with R&D, manufacturing, sales and marketing while encouraging team collaborations and communications. This role reports to the Director of TPMO.

Responsibilities

• Planning, directing and management of projects from initiation to implementation. 
• Build project roadmaps independently utilizing project management tools / softwares. 
• Assist with ensuring that the project scope and approach are fully understood by stakeholders.
• Coordinate and facilitation of action items across multiple teams.
• Create and present project statuses in a centralized dashboard to leadership.
• Ability to distill vague requests or problems into concrete deliverables with expected timelines.
• Identify and assess opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ownership of communication regarding project costs, resources, change requests, schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans to various department leadership. 
• Provide support for risk mitigation. This would include surfacing any risks to product delivery to stakeholders, recording action items to mitigate risk, and notification if there will be delays of overall project status.
• Management of cross team bandwidth and capacity in relation to project deliverables.
• Contributing to the reduction of overall project turnaround time. 

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in sciences, including biochemistry, chemistry, immunology and / or equivalent experience or training. 
• Bachelor's degree with minimum of 4 years of project management experience or master's degree with minimum of 2 years of project management experience. Experience in the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Project management skills including a track record of planning and directing projects with time and scope constraints. PMP certification is preferred. 
• Proficient with computer skills, including Google Suite.
• Advanced knowledge of project management software and productivity apps. Proficiency with using Jira software is preferred.
• Advanced analytical / problem-solving skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. 
• Excellent communication skills; and able to work independently. 
• Highly organized and attentive to details. 
• Flexible and willing to perform a variety of assignments in a fast-paced work environment. 
• Work out of our Emeryville, CA office at least 4 days per week.
