Slim Chickens Support Center and Company Stores is Hiring an Assistant Manager Near Fayetteville, AR

SUMMARY 

The Assistant Manager’sprimary duty is management of the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure the overall goal of outstanding guestservice. The Assistant Manager manages theday-to-day activities of Shift Leaders and other hourlystaff. In the absence of the General Manager, theAssistant Manager is the highest-ranking member of the management team in therestaurant and had direct responsibility for overseeing the financialresults, operations, staff development, customer service and compliance withall Company policies, procedures, standards and specifications.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OPERATIONS

  • Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations toensure Company standards for quality food, service and sanitation are met.
  • Manage and supervise Shift Leaders and hourly staff.
  • Assign and direct daily work responsibilitiesfor staff.
  • Order inventory for all areas and operations to ensure restaurant isstocked with appropriate levels of product.
  • Reconcile cash registers at open and close ofeach shift.
  • Maintain all records as required by Companypolicies and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal law.
  • Maintain staff compliance with Company policies,procedures, standards and specifications.
  • Maintain staff compliance with state and federallaws governing safety and food handling.

MANAGEMENT

  • Recruit, interview, select and hire qualitystaff for all positions.
  • Conductorientation and train Shift Leaders and other hourly staff to ensure employeesperform their respective jobs.
  • Perform performance reviews of Shift Leaders at GeneralManager’s request and other hourly staff on regular basis. Provide ongoing feedback, coaching andcounseling to Shift Leadersand hourly staff regarding areas such as production, efficiency andprofessionalism.
  • Perform counseling, disciplinary action ortermination of employment of ShiftLeaders and other hourly staff.
  • Recommend any promotion, advancement, or other status change ofShift Leaders and other hourly staff toGeneral Manager.
  • Adjust work schedules and hours of work of ShiftLeaders and hourly staff, as needed, toensure all shifts are covered. Recommend any scheduling or shift changes toGeneral Manager.
  • Approve overtime as necessary for hourly staff.

 LEADERSHIP

  • Display exemplary and professional attitude andappearance at all times.
  • Listen and communicate effectively with GeneralManager, Shift Leaders and hourlystaff, guests, vendors and the community.
  • Conduct management and staff meetings, as directedby General Manager.
  • Follow General Manager’s direction andaccomplish objectives set by General Manager.
  • Review objectives with Shift Leaders and hourly staff as necessary.
  • Delegate appropriate tasks andresponsibilities as necessary.
  • Resolve employee complaints,questions or concerns as necessary. 

 WORK CONDITION REQUIRMENTS

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule,including extended hours.
  • Periods of standing and walking, as necessary.
  • Frequent contact with guests, requiring tact andcourtesy.
  • Frequent contact with subordinates, requiringdirection and supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write and verbally communicatewell.
  • Proficient math skills and comfort with numbers.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Demonstrates maturity and professional demeanorat all times.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Positive attitude and self-disciplined.
