About Us
At Sleepy Owl Dentistry we serve pediatric patients with extensive dental needs, performing dental treatment under IV anesthesia in our dental office. We specialize treating young patients who are unable to sit for treatment in a typical dental chair setting. We work alongside dental anesthesiologists who will keep patients safely sedated while we provide quality comprehensive dental care.
Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pediatric Dentist to join the team at our IV sedation pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate should have an excellent bedside manner and be committed to providing care that makes parents and patients feel like family. If you have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!
You Will:
  • Work alongside the dental anesthesia team to provide safe, efficient, quality care for each pediatric patient
  • Treat and perform various restorative procedures, including posterior stainless- steel crowns, anterior esthetic SSC’s, pulpotomies, and exodontia of primary teeth
  • Provide education to patients on oral hygiene and prevention
  • Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines
Requirements & Qualifications
  • DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA accredited dental school is required
  • Completion of pediatric dental residency
  • Board Certified and/or Board Eligible as Pediatric Dentist
  • Current South Carolina license
  • Previous experience in clinical or private practice
  • Current CPR, BLS, and PALS certifications
  • Knowledge and adherence to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry policies and best practices and guidelines
  • Excellent bedside manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
