Slayden Door and Hardware is a leading commercial doors and openings company. We proudly provide quality products and services to our customers, and we are currently looking to expand our growing team!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements, as well as preparing itemized lists. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality, as the Project Engineer will play a crucial role in coordinating with contractors and customers to meet the company’s production and quality goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Compute cost factors, margins, and prepare estimates used for purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling.
  • Identify material cost trends to assist in cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Ability to stay up to date with Market and competitor trends resulting in more accurate pricing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including contractors and customers, to coordinate project requirements and ensure alignment with production and quality goals.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently while also demonstrating a willingness to work within a team environment.
  • Willingness to cross train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Door & Hardware Industry experience preferred
  • Comsense software experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
  • Prolonged periods of typing, reaching, bending, twisting and standing
  • Work environment conducive to office setting
  • Must be able to perform the essential job duties with or without accommodation.

Job Details:

  • Work location is in person.
  • Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
  • Schedule - Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
